The third largest city of Kyrgyzstan

Jalal-Abad (in Persian - "glorious settlement") is a city in Ferghana valley to the north from Osh, in the foothills of Tian-Shan, the third largest city of Kyrgyzstan. Jalal-Abad emerged in the early XIX c as a small fortress of the Kokand khanate near the thermal springs on the mountain Ayub-Too. The status of the city was received in 1877 within the Russian Empire.

Famous resort from Soviet times

Since the Soviet era Jalal-Abad was known as one of the biggest health resorts of USSR. Tourists are attracted here by the abundance of various thermal and mineral sources, mud baths, balneotherapy and mud therapy. There is a bus from city center to the resort complex "Jalal-Abad", located at an altitude of 971 meters on the mountain Ayub-Too. This resort is popular not only in Kyrgyzstan, but also outside the country.

Nature of "walnut paradise"

Just one hour drive from Jalal-Abad there is a wonderful natural area of Arslanbob with giant walnut trees, where city inhabitants and visitors prefer to spend time, as this is an interesting place for holidays and weekend breaks, and even for vacation. Tourists and holiday-makers are attracted by the unique nature of these places.
